Truly an object of mystique and mystery

Let me rephrase it in a more appropriate manner
You are a cowardly, pathetic, miserable, filthy
Unintelligent, soul-sucking, perfidious, bag of rotting worms

You who once held my respect, you who were once my friend
you shared in my secrets and you shared in my dreams
But in the end, it was the lies
The horrible, filthy lies that spew forth from your tainted lips...

I guess it was a simple decision
I had no need to keep up this facade

I still remember singing in my room when I was six, and having my mother come down the hall and slam the door so hard that the windows shook.

Her nails hurt when she scraped the tears off my face. "It doesn't matter what you want," she'd always tell me.

see that? it says vent art. which means it RAW AND ABOUT HOW I FEEL.

"From reading some of the hate comments I can see where they are trying to make sense and not make sense at all.

First off, from a literary standpoint this piece has a lot of potential however it is very repetitive and some parts seem pointless and could be taken out as a whole to make the piece seem more concise. You also mention it's probably a vent so I'm getting the impression you wrote this without revising which would make sense as to why those pointless stanzas are in the poem.

From a psychological standpoint (and this is mainly for the hate comments) different forms of art such us writing and visual art can and are used for therapeutic reasons. Some of the darker art pieces we may see on this website may have been created for that purpose and are in fact well-done pieces as well. Not everything on the front page has to be all sunshine and rainbows (that's just an extreme). This world is dark yes and people have to accept the fact that not every aspect of life is happy. There are aspects that are happy but not everything. It's a sad but true fact.

I've seen art pieces that have a dark/emotional theme to them on the front page and they get praised for their beauty and the technique. I've seen stolen art on the front page that has been praised by the ignorant. I've also seen some pretty bad art get more favorites than a really beautiful work of art or literature.

I am not agreeing nor disagreeing with the person that wrote this piece however I am commending them on their bravery to write their feelings out and post it on a website for others that can possibly relate. I am also going to state that it is NOT any deviants "fault" their work got to the front page. We as deviants have no control over who favorites our work and why all we can do is appreciate the favorites.

For example many of you probably don't know of my HTML tutorials but I only intended them to be for my friends and some new deviants so I expected at least five favorites tops. I honestly have no way to explain why I have, I think, a couple thousand favorites on it. I really don't know why. It took me just a few minutes to make in Photoshop and post it. It honestly looks like shit in my opinion but people like it :/

I do appreciate the faves and comments I get on it but I had no control over the favorites. I just posted it then went on with life. I didn't sit there telling people to go and favorite it."

i like this poem, its speaks in volumes. i know what its like to be everything you mentioned, its hard to live with.
but your poem is from the heart and its beautiful. i too am a writer and the way you write this is typical but it works really good with the message of the poem. i truly hope you continue to write.

Sometimes people just don't get that everything does not need to be perfect, and that raw and emotional has it's own value -.- personally I liked it and felt that the end line especially hit me in the right kind of way ^^ Either way you've given whoever reads it something to think about, and they get something out of it whether they like it or not
